It’s time to recruit ISOs for the academic year 2025-2026. In the Guild of Mechanical Engineers, we are looking for two types of ISOs.
- Bachelor’s ISOs = ISOs for Finnish speaking bachelor’s students
- International and Master’s ISO = ISOs for Master’s students and exchange students
As an ISO, you’ll have an opportunity to influence the organization of an amazing orientation week for fuksis! As a bonus, you’ll get to experience the best moments of the orientation week all over again. On top of that, you’ll be able to attend events for ISOs, spend time with great people, and guide the freshmen through their first year, all the way to possible Wappu celebrations! ITMK, the ISO committee, organizes training and events for ISOs throughout the year, so there will be plenty of great activities.
The only requirement to be an ISO is an interest in the activities, so anyone from fuksi to students in later years can apply.
It is possible to earn 2 credits from participating as an ISO, if you take the course International student tutoring JOIN-A0005 (or its Finnish equivalent JOIN-A0004). International ISOs can receive financial compensation for both autumn and spring semesters.
This year everyone wanting to be a TF-KIK-ISO needs to apply through kone and TF!
The application for ISO starts on 6.2. at 12 pm and ends on 20.2. at 11.59 pm. After the application period closes, there will be short interviews for first-time ISO applicants.
ISO recruitment sauna for those applying for ISO and interested in ISO activities will be held on 10.2. at 5 pm at the Ossinsauna.
